Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what you may and may not do when using the Arcnode Network Platform. It applies across all current and future Services and is incorporated into our Terms of Use. Breaching it may lead to suspension or termination.

01 Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every User of the Arcnode Network Platform and to all Services, content, APIs, and infrastructure operated under the Arcnode brand. It applies alongside our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and Privacy Policy.

02 General principles

When using the Platform, you agree to:

  • Use the Services lawfully and for their intended purpose.
  • Respect the rights, safety, and privacy of other Users and of our team.
  • Protect the security, integrity, and availability of the Platform.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

03 Prohibited conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Abuse, harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate any person, including targeted or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Publish or distribute hate speech, or content that promotes violence or discrimination against any individual or group on the basis of a protected characteristic.
  • Share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or sexually exploitative.
  • Engage in fraud, deception, impersonation, or misrepresentation.
  • Violate the privacy of others or publish personal data without a lawful basis.
  • Facilitate any other illegal activity.

04 Security and unauthorized access

You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, server, database, or network connected to the Platform.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform without our written permission.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with authentication, rate limiting, or security controls.
  • Access data or Services that are not intended for you.

Responsible disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it privately to legal@arcnode.dev rather than exploiting or publicising it. We appreciate good-faith reports and will not pursue action against responsible disclosure.

05 Malware, phishing, and fraud

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Upload, host, transmit, or link to malware, viruses, ransomware, or any other malicious code.
  • Conduct phishing, social engineering, or credential-harvesting attacks.
  • Operate scams, payment fraud, or other deceptive schemes.
  • Distribute content designed to harm devices, software, or other Users.
  • Upload files to the Client Portal whose content violates applicable law, infringes third-party intellectual property rights, or contains personal data of third parties for which you lack a lawful basis under the AVG / GDPR. Individual files must not exceed 500 MB.

06 Spam and platform manipulation

You must not:

  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages through any channel we provide.
  • Mass-register accounts, or create accounts using automated means without permission.
  • Manipulate the Platform through fake engagement, vote manipulation, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or crawlers in a way that breaches these rules or documented limits.

07 Resource abuse

You must not:

  • Place an unreasonable or disproportionate load on the Platform, including through denial-of-service attempts.
  • Exceed documented API or usage limits, or attempt to evade them.
  • Use the Services for cryptocurrency mining or similar resource-intensive abuse.
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Services without authorisation.

08 Intellectual property

You must not infringe the intellectual property rights of Arcnode Network or any third party. This includes copying, distributing, or creating derivative works of our software, branding, or content without permission, and uploading content you do not have the right to share. Rights holders may report suspected infringement as described in section 10.

09 Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, proportionate to the severity and context. Possible measures include:

  • A warning for minor or first-time issues.
  • Content removal or filtering of material that breaches this policy.
  • Rate limiting or feature restriction to protect the Platform.
  • Suspension or termination of your access for serious or repeated breaches.
  • Referral to authorities where conduct is unlawful or threatens safety.

Zero tolerance

We have a zero-tolerance approach to threats of violence, child safety violations, targeted harassment, and attempts to compromise the security of the Platform or the safety of our team. These are escalated immediately, without prior warning.

10 Reporting a violation

To report abuse, security issues, fraud, or intellectual-property infringement, contact legal@arcnode.dev. For general questions about this policy, contact info@arcnode.dev. Where possible, include relevant details such as the Service involved, timestamps, and any supporting evidence so we can act quickly.
