Community Guidelines

These guidelines describe the standards we expect across the Arcnode Network community and how our trust and safety process works: how to report problems, how we handle evidence, and how warnings, suspensions, bans, and appeals are applied, fairly and transparently.

Effective: 3 June 2026Last updated: 3 June 2026Arcnode Network, governed by Dutch law

01 Who these guidelines apply to

These guidelines apply to everyone who interacts within the Arcnode Network community, in any shared space we operate now or in the future, and to any communication directed at our team. They work alongside our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Use. They do not govern private content you keep to yourself within an application; that content remains yours.

02 Community standards

We ask everyone in the community to:

  • Treat others with respect, including when you disagree.
  • Keep contributions honest, constructive, and on topic.
  • Respect the privacy and safety of others.
  • Not harass, threaten, demean, or discriminate against anyone.
  • Not post hateful, illegal, deceptive, or harmful content.

03 How to report a problem

If you see content or behaviour that breaks these guidelines, report it to legal@arcnode.dev. A useful report includes:

  • What happened, and which guideline or policy you believe was broken.
  • Where it happened (the Service, space, or channel).
  • When it happened, including dates and times where possible.
  • Supporting evidence such as links, message identifiers, or screenshots.

Urgent safety concerns

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. For threats of violence or child-safety concerns on the Platform, report to legal@arcnode.dev and we will treat it as a priority.

04 How we handle evidence

We handle reports and evidence carefully and proportionately, consistent with our Privacy Policy:

  • We collect only the information needed to assess and act on a report, and we limit access to those reviewing it.
  • We keep evidence for as long as needed to investigate, apply any action, handle an appeal, and meet legal obligations, then delete it.
  • We protect the identity of people who report in good faith, and we do not tolerate retaliation against them.
  • We may preserve and disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of people.

05 Our enforcement ladder

We aim for enforcement that is proportionate, consistent, and explained. We weigh the severity, the intent, the impact, and any history before choosing an action:

ActionWhen it applies
No actionReports that, after review, do not breach these guidelines.
GuidanceMinor, first-time, or likely-inadvertent issues, with an explanation of what to change.
WarningA clear, recorded notice that conduct breached the guidelines and must stop.
Content actionRemoval, hiding, or filtering of specific content that breaches the rules.
SuspensionTemporary restriction of access for repeated or serious breaches.
BanPermanent removal of access for severe or persistent breaches.

06 Warnings, suspensions, and bans

Warnings tell you what happened, which rule applied, and what we expect next. Repeated warnings can escalate to a suspension.

Suspensions are time-limited restrictions. We tell you the reason and, where relevant, the duration and what is needed to restore access.

Bans are reserved for the most serious cases, such as threats of violence, child-safety violations, sustained harassment, fraud, or attempts to compromise the Platform. Severe cases may result in an immediate ban without a prior warning.

07 Appeals

If you believe an enforcement decision was wrong, you can appeal. Email info@arcnode.dev within 30 days of the decision and include:

  • The action taken and when you received notice of it.
  • Why you believe it was mistaken or disproportionate.
  • Any context or evidence we may not have considered.

Appeals are reviewed by someone who was not solely responsible for the original decision where practicable. We will confirm the outcome and, if we got it wrong, we will reverse or adjust the action.

08 Enforcement transparency

We hold ourselves to consistent, transparent enforcement:

  • We apply the same standards to everyone and document the basis for actions we take.
  • We tell affected Users the reason for an action, unless doing so would create a safety or legal risk.
  • We review our guidelines and processes over time and update them as the community grows.
  • We aim to act in good faith, in proportion to the harm, and with respect for due process.
