01 The documents
02 Which apply to you
| If you… | Read |
|---|---|
| Get help | The Privacy Notice (you need no account, and we see nothing of your session), the Terms of Service, and how to report misuse in the Acceptable Use Policy. |
| Help others | The Terms of Service, the Helper Code of Conduct, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Notice. |
| Help customers for an organization | All of the above, plus the Data Processing Agreement, which your organization can accept by email. |
| Research security | The Security and Responsible Disclosure Policy. |
03 The essentials
- You stay in charge. Nothing is shared until the person being helped selects Allow, and they can disconnect at any moment.
- End to end encrypted. Screen, input, clipboard, chat, files and camera travel encrypted between the two computers. The relay and Arcnode Network can’t read them, and nothing is recorded.
- Known helpers only. Helpers need an Arcnode Account with helper access, given by an Arcnode owner. The person being helped needs no account.
- Free for now. Paid plans may come later; they will be announced in advance and come with their own terms.
- Never for scams or spying. Arcnode, Microsoft and banks never call you to offer help with your computer.
The English versions of these documents are binding. Arcnode Network is governed by Dutch law; our supervisory authority is the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
